Akademy is approaching

Akademy is approaching faster than it is good for me. Just too many things to do until then. One of those things is to prepare my talk. As long as I haven't found a template yet, I modified an existing one. You can grab the first draft here (OpenOffice ODF). Please improve it and share it again.

I'm looking forward to see you all there!

TO DOs:
Flight: Booked.
Hotel: Booked.
Paper: Sent.
Talk: Concept and template done.
Planned the first two days in Helsinki: Failed.
Organized travel from Helsinki to Tampere: Not started yet.

If you want easy move from Helsinki to Tampere you can take a train.

http://www.vr.fi/eng/ Middle you can find the search for destination, select times etc.

It is about 1h 45min trip with train.
Busses you can find from http://matkahuolto.fi/en/ Usually if I remember correctly, trains goes from Helsinki -> Tampere every hour.

Central trainstation is located here http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&q=rautatieasema&sll=60.171361,24.942784&sspn=0.014302,0.038238&ie=UTF8&t=h&split=1&rq=1&ev=zo&radius=0.79&hq=rautatieasema&hnear=&ll=60.171361,24.942784&spn=0.014302,0.038238&z=15

And just 5min walking to west from it to Kamppi shopping central you can find bus stations, subway and trams stops next to it as well the rautatieasema (central train station).

Tampere railway station is located here http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&q=Tampere,+Finland&sll=60.169706,24.939587&sspn=0.007151,0.019119&doflg=ptk&ie=UTF8&cd=1&geocode=FXpiqgMdw59qAQ&split=0&hq=&hnear=Tampere,+Finland&ll=61.497475,23.770723&spn=0.013721,0.054588&t=h&z=15

And tampere bus station (tampere linja-autoasema) is here http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&q=Tampere,+Finland&sll=60.169706,24.939587&sspn=0.007151,0.019119&doflg=ptk&ie=UTF8&cd=1&geocode=FXpiqgMdw59qAQ&split=0&hq=&hnear=Tampere,+Finland&ll=61.493737,23.769962&spn=0.001715,0.006824&t=h&z=18

The tampere sateliteview is not so good because the happened bad weather but at least you can get some directions.
